The one you missed that I like a lot is Museo...you might try it.

In reference to your clogging. I ran VM carts in my 1270 for almost a 
month without any clog whatsoever. Do you religiously turn the 
printer off when not actually using it (do you turn it off with the 
button on the printer only?). I was turning mine off at a switch box 
and when I'd turn it on again, would get a combination of clogs and 
drips (really)...emailed Epson tech support and they sent me a memo 
on the importance of turning it off and on correctly (sounded bogus 
to me) which worked immediately and perfectly.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
