Igor,

I've used the 1160 successfully for years, ultimately installing the MIS CFS
system.  I've long since abandoned it in favor of a new R2400.

I had a similar clogging problem that would not yield to any solution,
including all that you tried.  So, I finally contacted Epson for advice.
They said to install new Epson carts and go through the head cleaning
process.  Believing this to be rather self serving, I nonetheless installed
the K Epson cart.  By doing so, however, I was able to rescue the 1160.  It
is still working very nicely (with Epson carts) after all these years.

Sorry, but it looks like you¹ll have to bite the bullet if you want to save
it.
