Re: [Digital BW] 2400 Lights flashing

This also occurs after a number of cleanings. The ink pad counter shuts the printer down. There is a program to reset the counter. Contact Ron at efillink for assistance. I can look it up for you. The software cost about $12.00.

  Russ,

I had exactly the same experience. The flashing lights are known as a
³fatal error.² I hope your printer is under warranty.

The message that comes up in this condition is that there may be a foreign
object blocking travel of the print head; I assume that this is not true in
your case. No missing socks, right? There is one other possibility that
Epson doesn¹t mention. Check that the ink cartridge cover is firmly snapped
in place. If it is not, the head cannot return to its proper position.

If you¹ve passed this test, there is only one way forward: call Epson for a
replacement. Under warranty, they will immediately ship a new
(refurbished?) printer, instructions and all materials for returning, via
FedEx, the faulty one. Be aware that they will hold your credit card
hostage until they receive the faulty one. I found that process
  straightforward.

  Good luck.

  Harry
