Paul,

I'm very surprised you've had no responses to your post yet. I'm
relatively new here myself, so have hung back till now. I'm in this
quality b/w digital printing world for only a few months now. 

But you, Clayton Jones, Jon Cone and I'm sure others, are the 'go to'
people in this field. So, I would think your posting of this
alternative to this Epson conundrum we now find ourselves in would be
most welcome, and would generate a lively thread.

These Brits seem to be on to something... from what I glean after
perusing your links, this seems a very possible way out of the
quandary we now find ourselves in. I'm looking forward to see how this
approach develops!

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
