I called R-JetTek (rjettek.com) today and inquired about their Epson cartridge refill kit. Saleswoman "Linda" told me it was legal re: the Epson lawsuit. The "Super Valve Plug Kit" is priced at $74.95 and includes some needed tools to penetrate the cartridge and 20 small valves, one of which is inserted into the cartridge to be refilled. A basic kit at $24.95 per color cartridge is also available and recommended to avoid cross contamination. It amounts to 20 more valves, a waste ink bottle, a separate injector syringe/nozzle...in short, all the items that come in contact with the ink. Linda told me it was possible to use only the Super Kit but it needed to be cleaned very thoroughly between uses. The basic kit makes cleanliness easier since each one of these "kits" is devoted to each color used. (Gets expensive if the printer uses 8 or 9 catridges) There is a brief video on the site. Looks very easy. Also looks as though one could assemble their own collection of bottles and syringes to act as the "basic kit" for each color cartridge used. She did not state that all the old Epson ink could be purged from a used cartridge such that a B/W inkset could be used. It would seem to be a possible system for an Epson 2400 using ABW.
