Glossy Quality RE: [Digital BW] Re: Damned good glossy prints

Excellent question, I always hit my Portriga prints with some heat
when put on the drying racks, they glossied up and held that gloss
until dry, without it they were much more satin.
Still even with that, the Harman is glossier. I've been working a bit
more with it, and it is a very good paper, but still, not very similar
to any fiber silver prints I have or recall.
I really think that look was inherent in the materials, and something
equally nice, but but with qualities inherent to these new materials,
will be what we adjust to.
Wasn't the gelatin layer on top of the silver image layer?
