Digital BW, The Print

New guy here...

I used the Cone K7 ink cartridges about a year ago when I was using an 
R1800.  I now use an R2400, and want to get back into monochrome ink 
sets.  The problem I had with the Cone inks was that I was going 
through a whole set to get a few decent prints due to clogging and 
annoying blotches (look like some kind of leakage) on just about every 
other print.  Much cursing.

If I get a CIS (looking at Niagara, unless there are better 
recommendations) for the Cone inks in my R2400, will I have the same 
problem?  Is this a common or known issue?  Are there other ink sets I 
should be looking at?

Sorry for the basic questions, but I don't want to go through the 
agony of buying the wrong stuff!  Thanks.
