I would also appreciate it VERY much if someone could put a page up
somewhere summarizing in two lines or so each of the different technologies
and workflows. I use the piezo system and am interested in other inksets and
workflows but am having a hard time getting up to speed with it.

If someone would write an article on the state-of-the-art I know a very
prominent and high traffic website which would almost certainly include it
as a feature.
