Fortunately I've been through it before with another R220. Very possibly could be waste pad registering as full--both red lights flashing, something on the order of Internal parts worn out--must be serviced. I borrow a Windoze laptop, dowload the Russian utility (SSC) , load the printer driver onto the borrowed PC and use the Protection Counter Reset utility in SSC to reset the waste counter. My experience has been that lots of cleaning cycles will set off the wastepad shut down long before it's necessary. I looked at the wastepad on the printer that shut down today and I would say it was less than 1/4 full. The utility reported 20k whatever cycles out of a maximum of 46k allowed. Borrowing the PC (and even worse, having to use it, was a pain but it does the trick;) If you have an intel mac it might be worth a copy of windoze 98 just to have the SSC utility around.
