I've had three "leakers" and tried a number of things before just pulling off the chips and tossing the carts. There seems to be a failure rate that you just can't get around. As to stock, I just ordered 30 new spongeless carts for an 1800 I have on order and there was no problem with the order, the price has gone up a bit...(we do live in a capitalist society), but MIS said as long as they are on the website they'll be selling them. My experience has been once you get past the leakers and the bad chips, the ones that work are pretty solid. Robert
