Not true,

The RIP comes with built-in support for the 9000/9500. I have it and just looked.

  My understanding is at this point, is that support for the Cone/MIS FS inks,
  using Imageprint 4 & Piezo 2, is limited to the 7000 printer. More to come,
  of course, but if you were to place an order today, the 7000 would be the
  only printer supported.
