RE: [Digital BW] Re: Eboni-6 inkset - Bases

2007-12-18 by Paul Roark

Sarah,

I expect MIS to mix and sell this inkset.

It can use QTR or the Epson driver with or without an ICC. I think the most
elegant workflow is the Epson driver with an ICC using Create ICC.

I don't know if MIS will load the inkset in carts, but then we don't know if
there are carts in our future. At any rate, as a bulk inkset it'll be
useable in carts, CISs, and large format printers. The standard densities
can be set up in any number of ways. The LLLK is not really needed in
modern printers, but I have a default setup on my PDF. It's just a place to
start and a way to have some uniformity, but lots of creative people will
probably use these inks as just part of a more flexible setup using a rip.

Paul, I'm missing something....are you saying this inkset will be sold on
MIS (say, for my
2200)? Or is this something we'd have to mix ourselves. Plus, I don't use
Create-ICC (tech
naif), only QTR profiles. But would that be something I'd have to get into
in order to use
Eboni-6?

thank you,
Sarah
