Eric asked me what I expected for a dollar a scan. Well, I wasn't looking for perfection, but I did expect better than what I got. For example, an image which is so black it's unrecognizable, isn't acceptable...even for a dollar. What I've decided to do is invest a hundred dollars in an Epson V200. For that little money, I'm not expecting miracles. I'm also going to try using it with Vuescan software. Anyone able to compare the software which comes with an Epson scanner with that of Vuescan? Anyway I'm going to see if I can't come up with something better than what I got from the photo store. I'll report back. This turned out to be quite a discussion, ranging from wages in San Franciso to....hmmm, you name it. Thanks to everyone for their input...or should I say "output"? Norm
