Most of there CIS systems simply run a tube to an empty cart that has been imported and arguably violates an Epson patent. A CIS, however, can be made without such a cart. www.Inkrepublic.com appears to use dampers instead of carts at the connection. I've though such a system would be both superior and avoid the patents.
