Paul, I think you've answered a question that I've been thinking of posting on this forum... my thread subject line would have read something like 'There's BO printing and then there's also BO printing'! I first encountered the term when learning this technique from Clayton Jones, it can mean, as you say, printing only with the black cartridge. But apparently it can also mean printing in black only but using the K position and various color positions filled with different shades of black. Sometimes it's hard to follow a discussion because it's not always clear to me, a newbie at this, which technique we're talking about.
