Eric, this Forum contains excellent hard data...it's right here if you really want it. Yes, 3rd party inks work beautifully for some, terribly for others..as you yourself have just admitted (blaming the operator). Happily for you, you never have clog problems with your third party inks, and happily for me I've only had to do a cleaning routine twice in 5 years with my OEM 2200 (whereas its MIS-using twin died). When I replace my 2200 I'll skip 2400 (less reliable) and go to its successor or to 3800, or to the next generation of Canon, and I'll use OEM.... ...because my time's worth a lot more than ink savings.
