Define 'low volume' Dave. If you print a few prints every 2-3 days it'll probably be enough to keep the ink moving through and keep the head clean. Aside from the head issues, older generations of ink built up sludge in the tubes and eventually clogged them, requiring replacement.I haven't heard of any complaints to that effect for what we're using now, though I'm sure someone will contradict me soon enough. These newer printers won't do BO with the Epson driver. You will need QuadtoneRip or another RIP to do it with any of the Claria printers. The previous generation-R200,R220, R240 and R300, R320, R340 Had a black only option, there is a chip re-setter available, and you can probably put together a set of refillable carts. I just checked eBay, and there are still a few NEW ones being offered-don't buy a used one.
