Hello, my name is frank coming from germany and i am new in this group. I am interested strongly in B&W fineart printing and startet a few weeks ago with a cheap epson 1200 with TritonPlus ink (Black and 5 different grays) and Calumets Museum Satin Matte. The results are very good, though i am thinking i could be even better? I also tried out Clayton Jones BO method, but the prints have very strong contrast with no details in black areas. Is there any workaround related to this (beyond the fantastic articles from clayton jones of course)? Can i use any black ink (like the original epson ink for the 1200) or do i need a special ink. In this case which of them will i get here in germany? Another question is whether the epson 2100 would be a good advantage compared to my 1200? I know the 2400 or even the 3800 are state of the art but i am not able to buy such expensive machines. Thank you for reading my questions! Frank
