The easiest way I found to always have a perfectly centered print is to enlarge the canvas size of the image to exactly the size of the paper, check Maximum and Centered and then print, ignoring the warning about the clipping (keep the "Preview" checkbox checked, just to make sure). It takes some time, because the image file size is increased, but it's worth it.
