Chris- I wouldn't disagree with anything you said about the two papers, except for the quality control issue. But perhaps I've just had really bad luck with the Ilford product. On the quality of the printing, I'm rather astonished at these fiber papers. I've spent the last few weeks with piles of gelatin, IJ matte and IJ fiber/baryta prints all over the house and it is the IJ fiber prints that really stand out. The beautiful grayscale and tonal separation in the prints is remarkable. I am able to print things that could only marginally be printed on the matte papers--things with long delicate gray scales extending down into the quarter tones and little black or white. The matte papers were very frustrating on such images. Good wishes, Walt
