Yes, it is more appropriate for Win98 and also true of Win2000 which is what I run. I have not "upgraded" to XP or Vista and do not plan too do so. I am actually trying to convert to Linux for as much as I can. I have heard a lot of horror stories of unprotected Windows computers that got so infected with virus, ad-ware, malware, etc. that they had to be reformatted, even those running XP. I know none of us would run without anti-virus and anti-malware software but there is always a chance that someone will come up with a new attack that will get through and do damage before our protective software can get updated to save us. I am not paranoid but I try to do whatever I can to protect my data and to be able to ease my recovery if something does happen.
