You are going to get loads of conflicting advice... If you want to rival wet technology than you need good gear at every link in the chain. The epson is a good entry level scanner for mf, but forget it for 35mm, also any flatbed will not rival a film scanner. If you don´t get good input, you can´t then complain that the dynamic range or the smoothness etc etc of digital doesn´t equal wet etch. Afterall, how much was your enlarging lens??Any of the ink/software systems currently touted on this list will give good results: piezo/mis/MISVM with roark curves - although we all have our faves!!!!. As to software PS6.
