Yes!! It would be nice to have a clean cart, but I didn't blink an eyelash. Since the process involves switching from dye ink to pigment ink, you have to make sure the old substance is not allowed to interact with the new ink. As soon as my dye ink printed very light, I filled it with pigment and printed huge amounts of black to make sure it was flowing freely. I also freely saturated the cart. well nipple with vinegar and/or window ammonia. Do you have the refill stuff from a old refill kit? gar *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** On 2/4/08 at 7:00 PM frankbickelmeyer wrote: >Does that mean i could try to fill the original epson black catridge >with the MIS black? >And again my question is Ultratone MatteBlack (which i can buy here >in germany in bottles) the same ink as the MIS Eboni? > >--- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Gary Weaver" ><garww@...> wrote: >> >> Frank, >> >> When I got my 1270, I ran the black 'til it ran out, and then, >filled the cart with MIS black. >> >> gar >> >> *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** >> >> On 2/4/08 at 2:52 PM frankbickelmeyer wrote: >> >> >As i´ve found out in the meantime i can order Ultratone MatteBlack- >> >ink in bottles from a local dealer here in germany.
