Hi, I have just saw the R1900 today at the Epson stand in Birmingham UK. Personally, I don't think it is in the same league as the R1800 on colour output. I would hang around for the new Ultra Chrome K3 ink printers. The K3 ink set is a better ink to the Hi-Gloss 2 inks fitted to the R1900, and K3 inks are used in all the Epson Professional printer models. Though I must admit it looks more substantial than the R1800 and if you are after a new printer it is not a bad choice R1900. I assume Epson has gone to a new cartridge type. So, I'm also assuming it'll be a while before third party carts are available. As such, for B&W printing, it's not a machine to consider. I'm sure it's a fine color printer with OEM inks. Paul www.PaulRoark.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
