Converting everything over to DNGs is the best thing to do anyway, very compatible with many applications, even simple programs like iPhoto 8. The Leica M8 digital has picked DNG for its RAW format, hopefully all camera manufactures will follow. Most DNG files are more compact (compressed file size) too.
