I'm having the SAME problem with a 1280 and using the "thick" paper setting with MIS UT2 inks..but the problem is NOT the inks as the paber is "scuffed" just outside of the picture area..I believe the problem begins on the bottom left and right sides of the print during the initial "grab" of the paper into the printer..As well..I don't know of a cure..

Try using wider margins and also use the rear single sheet feeder.
