Digital BW, The Print

Well, it's a piece of junk. Feeding problems is really an
understatement  with this machine. Spent all morning trying to entice
is to do what it's supposed to do...Print. What a laugh. Of course
Epson is out with a new and improved 1900 but that's not much help here. 

Had a knowledgeable friend suggest an HP9180 but would I listen?
Nah...My 1270 lasted 6 years and did quite well with BO printing. I
guess Seiko would throw that back at me if I wrote them a nasty note. 

Is there  solution for making the 1800 feed matte paper reliably? Had
I not invested in a CIS for this thing I'd give it away but too late now. 

One thing for certain, I should have kept my Focomat.
