Sounds like the take up platen maybe worn. Is it still under warranty? This is very similar problem I had with my Epson 2200 - it did not die an early death I just made that many prints it plain wore out. Have you tried the manual feed rather than the sheet feed? I can load single sheets (8.5x11) or several, it makes no difference. It will cycle but for some reason the paper will not feed. Naturally, I went to the Epson site and checked for fixes. Cleaning rollers, blowing dust away, etc. This happens whether I'm using large sheets or 4x6 card size. The CIS (A Lyson with 3mk) works like a charm. Clayton's QTR is outstanding and if I get a print, it's superb. I'd never go back to a Focomat since the new methods have so many pluses. When they work. :) When I first used the machine it was with the luster paper. Feeds fine, looks like hell. (to me at least) I generally find a method I like and stick with it. I want to use matte-surfaced paper but not pebbled, artsy crafty stuff. to many years as a photojournalist) I'd always had very good luck with the Epson EEM paper but open to other suggestions. T
