It is possible and advisable. But the profiler that comes with QTR would be the way to go. Apparently it's easy to learn how to use the device that came with printfix pro with Create ICC PRofile. Others here would know that. Just last week I made a "Create ICC PRofile" profile for someone who uses QTR, and again it helped them. You have all the tools, give it a try.
