Digital BW, The Print

As a print studio in my neighbourhood is offering their Epson 9600 
for sale I'm of course very much tempted ;-)

Before deciding on it, I'd like to understand my options for the 
inkset. I'm currently running an Epson 2100. I think this is in print 
quality very similar to an Epson 9600: same inks, same dot size. But 
on my 2100 I use a blended inkset (UT3D) which will not be a good 
choice for a large format printer. 

I'm afraid I can't count on an option that leaves colour prints open: 
in the 7-color ink setup that would leave me with just 2 blacks. 

So if I would go for a B&W dedicated setup, it looks like I have the 
choice between a 4K+ one hand and either Cone or a Eboni/Carbon-6 on 
the other. For reasons of economy the Carbon-6 is the most attractive 
one. But the possibility of the 4K+ set to get true neutral effects 
on a wider range of papers is very much appealing as well. 

Any opinion on this is appreciated.
