RE: [Digital BW] Vista Color Management

2008-05-04 by Eric Neilsen

Richard, I am running Vista 32 on a desktop with the I1 with no such problem
either but I do suspect that it is a permission problem or video card
update. With the current upgrade to Vista SP1 you may be in a catch 22 with
updates. Make sure your video card is up to date and then try a new
calibration. You did un install Adobe gamma right? I have not had a problem
with it yet. Nor did I have any trouble with my Spyder 2 when it was my main
calibration.

What video card are you using again?

I've got Vista 64 and don't seem to have this problem. The only time the
profiles 'diappear' is when there is a major update to my video card. It's
always a major effort to get my settings back from those updates. But, that
doesn't sound like the problem you're having.

I recently moved my system around, and had to disconnect everything. All
went back together without any issues.

However, none of this may be relevant if you're running Vista 32.

Hi,
no, it's the display profile that is lost - plugging or unplugging the
printer to the usb port or unplugging the calibration device etc trigger the
problem.
