I can't say if Epson R1800 yellow is the same as 7600 Y, but I suspect 
it is.  Recall we found that the C86 EZ-Y cart not only fit in the 
2400, but the chip even worked.  That suggested to me that Epson was 
using the same yellow carts & ink for the C86 and 2400.
