Digital BW, The Print

My initial testing of the 1400 suggests it's a very good printer.  QTR 
ver. 2.6.1 has Black Only profiles for MIS Eboni and UT-RC PK inks in 
it.  (They are just copies of the 260 profiles.)  They appear to be 
fine.

The Epson driver prints with a fairly straight ramp with the UT-RC inks 
when Color Controls is set to Gamma 2.2.

The 260 ICCs are not quite right, however.  I'll make new ones.  So, 
the Epson driver appears to be slightly different than the 260, but 
it's close.

MIS is NOT supporting this printer with carts yet.  However, the UT-RC 
inks work well and bulk inks are sold in the 260 page at 
http://www.inksupply.com/r260_blackandwhite.cfm 

So, while it's too soon to get any carts from MIS, the 1400 appears to 
be a very fine B&W printer.  I'll be making ICCs and curves for it soon.
