Conventional wisdom is to resize the image prior to printing to a resolution that is a simple fraction of the printer resolution. So for the Epsons that would be 360ppi. The theory is that photoshop could do a better job than the printer driver, that may cause resampling artifacts. So if you follow that path it would not make any difference whether you use the epsond driver or QTR. But I admit I've never seen such a thing (perhaps not looked closely enough...) and I have stopped bothering about it.
