That's good to hear, Paul, guess I was getting a little concerned
about these micro-banding horror stories. And doesn't it stand to
reason you'd get smoother transitions with three carts? I don't know,
I'm very new at this. But again, I've been very happy with my single
cart setup for my R220.

What was holding me back was thinking that MIS carts weren't available
but several posts mentioned them being on the MIS website, and sure
enough they are in fact listed. I finally called them today, talked
with a live person (very friendly, by the way) and she explained that
their pre-filled with Eboni carts are not threatened under the suit
because Epson makes nothing like them, therefore no competition. So
I'm going to finally order some and try them out. And, they are
refillable using their new refill kit. I asked if I could put MIS
cleaning fluid in the color positions, which is what I have in my
R220. That way I get a very low-cost cleaning on power up. The MIS
person said we'd have to ask you on that score.

Thanks for the helpful comments, we all appreciate your hard work on
this cutting edge field!

Paul
