So, if it were me, I'd switch to Eboni-6 or Carbon-6. But, that would exclude glossy printing and print tone controls are obviously less with a 100% carbon monotone. See http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Eboni-6.pdf > I was never happy with the dmax ... I never got a great dmax from my 7600 with the Epson driver. I used IJC then and would probably use QTR now if I had a 7600. > Do you recommend the new carbon 6 set Yes, with the caveat that it has to be considered a beta inkset. It simply has not been in use long enough to know what might happen over the long haul. Eboni-6 may have fewer variables simply because the base used is a commercial base that has been more thoroughly tested. > and how much trouble is it to clean the cart. As long as they have no sponges, they are rather easy to clean. I use just distilled water, then the generic base (Carbon-6 base -- see http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Ink-Mixing.pdf ), and finally a little of the ink that'll be in the cart itself to rinse and prepare the cart. Hope it works for you. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
