While QTR is what I'd recommend if one tries to use QTR on either a 
2k or k3 printer, I don't recommend UT2 for the 3800.  I don't 
recommend any blended ink for a printer with large-format type carts.

By "blended ink" I mean a pigment ink that has more than one pigment 
type mixed in a single ink.  My experience with MIS blended inks in 
my 7500 indicates that they tend to separate, causing tone shifts.

Note that with desktop printers where the carts are agitated 
regularly this is not a problem.  The 3800, however, has large format 
type carts that are not continually agitated.
