BPC off would be correct for the deepest possible blacks with Datacolor 
profiles. If you then find that these deep blacks are causing loss of visible 
shadow detail at the light levels you are displaying under, it would be better to 
use the shadow detail slider to adjust that, then to risk weaker blacks by 
invoking BPC.
