unlike "toned silver gelatin", "Platinum", "Kallitype", on and on, including all of the intaglio, silkscreen, stone lithography, etc etc.. .. it's not a very helpful term, as it does not inform about the materials at all, or really the process. It could be Iris, Epson, dye or pigment, whatever. Certainly people can call their prints whatever they want. I prefer to call them something helpful and descriptive, and like yours, mine are originals, not "reproductions" of some other original.
