The new paper transport rollers are used on the Z3200. More 16 bit features but I couldn't grasp all the information on that (his English was worse than mine and no other language possible between us). Some driver issues solved, some issues still there. I foresee even more compatibility issues with Qimage if their intention to automatically eliminate double profiling issues between Photoshop and the Z3200 driver is added in further upgrades. Told them (again) that the default CM setting in the B&W printer shortcut is in contradiction with their own CM recommendation for B&W printing. That was still in the Z3200 driver. Mentioned the different Z3100 owners experiences on print lengths and the lack of a banners mode to overcome that length issue when using Qimage. Could be a good reason to use one of the other brands for potential customers. No comment on my question whether a 17" with similar technology will appear, "everyone asks that" is what they say. At least they noticed that. Mentioned that the latest firmware upgrade for the Z3100 is available for Mac users but the Windows one still isn't after they had withdrawn the corrupted installer for it. They had noticed that it wasn't available on the site anymore but didn't know the reason. -- Met vriendelijke groeten, Ernst | Dinkla Grafische Techniek | | www.pigment-print.com | | ( unvollendet ) |
