Paul, thank you for your full explanation in response to my question re 2100/2200 & Eboni-6. In view of what you say, maybe I should discount the reservations I've acquired about poterntial paper feed problems on the 1400 and go that route with the full Eboni-6 inkset. I'm looking for it to be a dedicated B&W printer and certainly, the smoothness of tone that you have demonstrated with this set up would be my ideal. Arthur
