I use Picture Window. It doesn't have layers but that doesn't bother me. One thing that I dodn't like is that it will not let you use profiles for a black and white image (gray scale). You need to convert it to a color image in order to use profiles. I have seen a lot of messages about layout and the suggestion is always to use Qimage. Picrure Window has a very good layout procedure. It handles multiple images with fine control as to where these images fit on a page. If you have a lot of money then get Photoshop. For me, Picture Window is all I need.
