With Eboni MK I'm getting 1.74 on Generations Alise -- BW and Natural.  UltraSmooth barely breaks 1.6.  That is a major difference.  Your inkset/MK and profile may make a difference.  The glossy blacks are still way better in perfect lighting, but in my (typical?) display conditions the reflections wipe out the glossy advantage and a 1.7+ matte wins.
