It is a real issue - I was on the trip. Basically you can't safely take a 5DMk2 out in the rain - even with a plastic cover on it (condensation). But you get what you pay for - in this case a cost effective prof camera that works great in the dry but not in the wet. If you want both then you have to pay double the money.
