Re: [Digital BW] Rumors about new Epson 8500?

2002-02-14 by Michael Kravit

Mark,

Spoke with a developer friend who has one coming from Epson either this week
or next (He hopes as it is already late.). He told me that Epson is
releasing 3 new machines. One 24", one perhaps to replace the 3000 size and
still another. He said that they will be created in the 10000 lineage and
does not believe that they will be 7 inks. He thinks they will be 3
picoliter and use the variable drop heads like the 10000 and 1280. He said
that the 10000 will be Epsons flagship for the next few years.

I hope that the 7 color printer is not a vicous rumor.

Mike
