Digital BW, The Print

HELLO GROUPIES!

As you may have noticed, I've been rather preoccupied with a very sick printer for the past week. With all of the cleaning and TLC, along with some intensive communications with tech reps and service personnel, we have all come to the conclusion that one of my 7600 printers(MK) needs a new print head. This is what I have suspected all along and it has now been confirmed. So, I have a decision to make. And of course as always it all comes down to MONEY. It's going to cost about $900 to have a new head properly installed and warranted. I've been looking, with green eyes of envy, at a 7900, and that $900 I believe would be better spent on newer technology. I would then probably set up the remaining 7600 for B&W printing exclusively, with the sick one as a "spare part" repository. 

So here's my request. As quickly as possible, I would like to get some feedback concerning the 7900. Pros and cons, likes and dislikes, headaches and cheers of joy. All of the above and more if possible. From the research I've done so far it would seem to be the best thing to come down the line the from Epson to date. So hit me. Go the whole nine yards. Give it your best shots and hold nothing back. PLEASE!!!

My decision has almost been made, but I would love to hear from those of you with "hands on" experience.
