Hello folks, thanks for the help I called the inks K3 beccuase being I used 3 black inks purchased from MIS in the R1800 in the photo black, matte black and GLOP slots I figured that was what they were called.. I have done the following before posting here: 1. printed a dozen color 8x10's 2. run three nozzle checks/head cleaning 3. used Epson papers luster, gloss and matte on all prints 4. Unchedck gloss to see if the problem was in the GLOP...no change 5. Checked gloos to double check and no change from no GLOP 6. Used matte paper. 7. Used regular artiss water color paper. I am not sure how to print one channell in QTR...I thought QTR was for BO printing I WILL try the following 1. Print large swatches of primary colors to see what one is the darkest 2. Will look for flushing cartridges Any additonal help will be appreciated. I am stuck. thanks Frank --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Roger" <rsmith02@...> wrote: > > You can use QTR to do a "calibration" print and see what all the ink channels are doing (i.e. does the gloss channel look dirty, etc?) > > If you have a Spyder3Print I can share some measurements with you for what the patches should look like. > > You can also use QTR to print from just one channel- print a bunch of papers to get rid of any leftover ink. > > Out of curiosity, how did you get K3 inks to work in a R1800? > > Roger > > > --- >
