I would be hesitant on taking 7 year old inks and running them through, might cause more damage then good.... only if the owner knows it has a good chance of ruining a head or something and lets you try before you buy. If you get anything that resembles a good nozzle check, you might be OK. If you buy it, get new inks, perhaps some flushing carts, change the dampers, and hope. I would look around for a working printer, I just got rid of my two 9600 for around that same price, and they were in good working condition.
