After using two Epson 1160s with NoMoreCarts CIS (Yes, I remember the green shift!)I now have an Epson 1400 with third party auto-reset carts that I bought off eBay. Works like a charm. 

I also have a brand new unopened CIS that I know I'll never use. The auto-reset carts are so easy I just refill without taking them out of the printer.
