It might be interesting to experiment with aditional gelatin sizing, ala
carbon transfer prints.  See:

"Preparing Final Support Papers" section.  I'm working on starting carbon
transfer printing, and so I don't want to get sidetracked, but after awhile,
I'll try some sized art papers.  At that time, I can do some inkjet printing
on the regular art paper and one's with additional gelatin sizing.
